Obituary of Andrew Chaz Davis

Andrew Chaz Davis, lovingly known as Drew, of Richmond, Virginia, was born on October 29, 1980, and departed this life on May 7, 2026.

Drew is lovingly remembered by his mother, Sandra (Vinyard) Rangel; his father, Paul Davis, and stepmother, Cindy Davis; his beloved son, Donovan Davis of Richmond; his brother, Brodie Davis of Mansfield, Ohio; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were forever touched by his.

Drew’s life was marked by remarkable resilience. Though he faced many challenges and hardships, he met them with determination, courage, and hope. He worked tirelessly to build a brighter future, finding his calling in the medical field and taking meaningful steps toward the life he had always envisioned for himself.

Drew had a true zest for life and knew how to make the most of every moment. He loved to laugh, spend time with those he cared about, and create lasting memories. In his younger years, music was one of his greatest passions. He played guitar, sang with his band, and even recorded several original songs—leaving behind not only memories, but a piece of himself that will continue to be heard and cherished.

Those who knew Drew will remember his generous heart, gentle spirit, and genuine compassion for others. He had a way of making people feel seen, supported, and cared for, always willing to offer a helping hand, a listening ear, or words of encouragement. While his time with us was far too short, the love he shared, the music he created, the lives he touched, and the memories he made will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Drew will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

A Memorial Service was held on Sunday, July 19, 2026 at the home of his Aunt Cathy Hamp.
