Organizers are excited to announce that the doors to the Rose Clare Craft & Antique Mall will officially reopen to the public on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This marks an important milestone for the building and future of community-centered events and local vendor opportunities.

When Stephanie Hayes was appointed as Fluorspar Festival Chairman in February of 2026, she quickly learned of the long list of repairs needed at the Mall. She immediately took steps to work on remediation of the building. Sadly this delayed the opening of the Mall for its spring season. At the time, Hayes was unsure if it could be opened due to health and safety issues, but she and her Board persevered. Vendors were notified that they would need to move their wares out so that the building could be evaluated and renovations could begin.

People began to donate supplies, time, money, and skills.

The roof repair was a big milestone and it set the stage as a huge step in getting the building thoroughly cleaned, repainted, and rewired, and renovated. The most recent and last update to the space was carpet installed by Randy Carter. New window platforms were installed too.

Vendors are now moving back in!

Following the July 15th reopening, regular business hours will be Wednesday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The community is also invited to a grand reopening celebration in August. Details will be announced at a later date.

This reopening represents far more than a business relaunch. It is a reflection of what can be accomplished when a community comes together with purpose and determination. The time, effort, and support have laid the foundation not only for this space, but for the future of our local festival and community events.

As part of our continued commitment to supporting the Fluorspar Festival, 10% of all sales from the Rose Clare Craft & Antique Mall  will go directly toward funding future Fluorspar Festivals, helping preserve and grow traditions that bring our community together year after year.

“None of this would have been possible without the community working together as a team,” said Stephanie Hayes, Fluorpsar Festival Chairman. “The support, encouragement, and hands-on help have been the driving force behind this reopening and the vision moving forward. We look forward to welcoming everyone back through our doors this July and sharing in what comes next for our community.”

The Rose Clare Craft & Antique Mall is owned by the Fluorspar Festival Committee. It is located at 312 Main Street, Rosiclare, IL 62982.

If you would like to be a volunteer or have ideas for upcoming festivals, come to the next board meeting at Pell’s Landing on Monday, August 3 at 6:30 p.m. or contact Chairman Stephanie Hayes at 618-253-9488. The Fluorspar Festival will be held Thursday, October 8 with the Miss Fluorspar Pageant at the school in Elizabethtown. Then the festival will pickup in Rosiclare Friday, October 9th – Sunday, October 11, 2026.
