Obituary of Johnny Boles

On Saturday, December 13, 2025, our beloved John Boles went to be with his Lord and Savior. He is now resting in the arms of Jesus, which was his life-long dream. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and loved by so many.
Johnny is survived by his children: James (Cynthia) Boles, Angela (Jack) Walk and Belinda (Timothy) Fletcher; grandchildren: James Jr., Ashley (Darren), Cristi (Keith), Megan (Angel), Justin (Lily), Tyler, Brianna (Terrance) and Mariah (Tremont); great-grandchildren: Ember, Violet, Rowan, Lacy, Leah, Ezekiel, Saphira, Grace Lynn and Riverlynn; and sister: Loretta “Faye” (late Darrell) Roark.
He was preceded in passing by his parents: George and Hazel Boles; wives: Bonnie L. and Judy; brothers: James and David; and sisters: Georgia “June” and Barb.
A Funeral Service was held at LaHayne Funeral Home, on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., and was officiated by Joe Mills. Burial followed in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville, IN.
Friends visited on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at LaHayne Funeral Home located at 6955 Southeastern Avenue, Hammond, IN.
Johnny retired from Union Tank Car in East Chicago, IN. He was a member of The Golden Circle Club and Cave Mission for Christ Church in Cave In Rock, IL. He loved reading the Bible and listening to Gospel Music. Johnny will be missed deeply by all who love him.
A memorial service was held at Potters Church in Cave In Rock on Saturday, January 3, 2026. John will be sadly missed by all his friends in Hardin County, Illinois and Crittenden County, Kentucky.
