Obituary of Russell “Scott” Schutt
Russell “Scott” Schutt, 54, of Hardin County, IL, passed away Monday, April 22, 2024.
Scott was a proud retiree of the Illinois Department of Transportation after 31 years of service.
Outside of work, Scott was a big movie buff, as well as a theme park lover. He was also a passionate coach whether it be officially on the baseball and softball fields, or as a fan in the stands.
Survivors include his daughter, Kaitlyn Perantoni; parents, AD Schutt and Gail Embree Haley; and brothers, Shaun Haley, and Aaron Schutt.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Veda Embree; and Clyde and Molly Schutt.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Hardin County Funeral Services will be handling arrangements.

Scott was always a hard worker, he knew how to talk to people and handle a situation. I worked with Scott at heartland hospital with him as a security guard. He would always come in with a smile and he would joke with you. Scott you will be missed dearly.
