The Hardin County Junior High JV team took on Gallatin County, Harrisburg, and Eldorado in round-robin play in the Harrisburg 7th Grade Tournament on Friday, March 4, 2022. The Cougars came away with three victories taking Gallatin County (25-17 and 25-23) and Eldorado (25-9 and 25-19) in two sets and Harrisburg in three (23-25, 25-16, and 15-10). These victories brought home the very first Hardin County volleyball trophy.
The Cougars were working with a new rotation with Raegan Banks playing setter and a new starter Krysta Roberts. Kendall McKinley served 13 in a row in the first set of the Eldorado match ensuring a swift victory. The team was supported by a great crowd and their C Team along with Varsity team members.
The team stayed to cheer on their GEC counterpart, Gallatin County, in their final match against Harrisburg building camaraderie between the two teams. Both teams celebrated Hardin County’s tournament win at the end of the night. This community should be proud of these girls, their heart, and their hard work.
