Obituary of Kristina Lorene Marler

Kristina Lorene Marler “Goob”, 42, of Herod passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 4:35 p.m. at Lourdes Hospital. She was born in Harrisburg, Illinois on November 19, 1978 to Dean and Dianna (Hertlein) Robinson.
Her passion for life has inspired so many people. She loved lived life like no other. Kristina laughed, sang, and danced her way through life.
Kristina’s family includes her husband, James A. Marler, who she met in high school and were high school sweethearts and best friends. In their almost 26 years as high school sweethearts they raised two boys who were their world, Austin (Kali and daughter Jalynn) and Konnor Marler; one sister, who was her best friend, Treva Mitchell; nieces and nephews, who she loved to spoil and play with, Summer and Madison Mitchell; Georganna, Noah and Melodie Barefield; and God daughters and son, Allie, Macie and Easton. Kristina has aunts, uncles, lots of cousins, and many friends who will miss her greatly.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Honey Comb Church of God, Herod, IL. Bro. Harold Miller will conduct the service. Interment will follow at Good Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, September 27, 2021 at Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville and on Tuesday at the church from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
