Obituary of Frances Garland Brown
On Saturday, May 2, 2020, Frances Garland Brown passed away at the age of 103. Frances was born on March 6, 1917 in Rosiclare, where she lived her entire life. She married K.C. Brown on April 15, 1936. She and K.C. had three sons, Bill, Bob and Joe.
Frances and K.C. were married for 76 years. He passed away in 2012. She was also predeceased by two of her sons, Bob in 2005 and Bill in 2018.
During her lifetime Frances had many dear friends. She enjoyed playing bridge, needle work, reading and volunteer activities. She was an avid photographer. She and K.C. enjoyed many years playing golf in Hardin County and at their winter home in Florida. They also were lifelong members of the First Christian Church in Rosiclare.
Frances is survived by her son, Joe (Liz); daughters-in-law, Linda and Barbara; six grandsons, Todd, Ted, Ken, Kary (Loretta), Kurt and Karl; one granddaughter, Blair; three great-grandsons, Zachary, Michael and Graeme; and two great-granddaughters, Imogen and Abigail. She is also survived by her very good friend, Pat Smock.
