Hardin County Archers look forward to even more success with newly built Indoor Archery Range

In March, Hardin County Cougars Archery team members were able to begin practice on their newly constructed indoor archery range. The range is constructed on the north wall in Oxford Gymnasium in Hardin County School. The team is the proud two-time holder of the S3DA State Championship (2017 & 2018). In addition, several individual members have earned state titles, and one member has earned national titles.
“Having an indoor archery range makes the team even more ready for competition,” said Head Archery Coach Susan Armstrong. “It gives them an advantage and more opportunity to improve their abilities and accuracy.”
Indoor season occurs in the cold months, December through March. The team had to shoot 3D targets outside at the school or travel to SIC where the team had free access to its Indoor Archery Range. Team members are thankful for its free access and plan to continue to use the SIC Indoor Range, but this will give those who can’t travel a chance to improve locally.
