Sally Downing
Sally Downing, 73, of Morganfield, KY died Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Morganfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Morganfield. She was born August 16, 1952 in Evansville, IN to Morris and Rose Riggs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Rose Riggs; husband, Arthur B. “Pete” Downing; and daughter, Rachel Suzanne Graham.
Survivors include her children,
Tara McGar of Sturgis, KY and Aaron (Sheila)Downing of Harrisburg, IL; siblings, Brad (Cindy) Riggs of Jackson, MO and Marcy (Jessie) James of Sturgis, KY; grandchildren, Dylan Graham, Whitney McGar, Alaina VanCleve, Allisha Banks
Denver Mitchell, River Downing, A.J. Downing, and Bailey Downing; and nieces and nephew, Hilary Liles, Emily Embrey, and Bradley James.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 30, 2026 at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Sturgis, KY. Father Jojy Olakai will officiate. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time at the church.
Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY.
