Obituary of Theresa Shannon Rose
Theresa Shannon Rose, 56, of Elizabethtown, IL passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Hardin County General Hospital surrounded by her beloved family. Shannon was born in Rosiclare on September 3, 1969 to Patricia Damron and Cletus Vaughn.
She worked many different jobs during her life, but her passion was taking care of people working as a CNA at the nursing home and the Golden Circle.
Shannon attended Hardin County K-12, graduating in 1987.
Shannon was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dickie” Rose; son, Catlin Michael Vaughn; brother, Cletus Darren Vaughn; and nephew, Todd Cox.
She is survived by her son, Darren (April) Vaughn; two stepsons, Justin (Michelle) Rose and children, and Jeff (Jessica) Rose and children; five siblings, Steve (Susie) Moore, Terry Moore, Pam Cox, Scott (Annette) Vaughn, and Angel Vaughn; four grandchildren, Saeward Lazaro, Draven Vaughn, Aiden Vaughn, and Caitlin Vaughn; several nieces and nephews; and her two beloved pets, Lily and Mylo.
Visitation will be from 12 – 1 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2026 at Community Chapel Golconda. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. at the church on Friday.
