Obituary of Laura Elizabeth “Cissy” Reed

Laura Elizabeth “Cissy” Reed, 90, of Rosiclare, IL died Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Hardin County General Hospital. She was a member of Peters Creek Baptist Church.
Cissy worked in the restaurant business, serving Hardin County for numerous years. Everyone knew Cissy’s pizza. She also loved her cat “Grey Boy” as well as gardening and taking care of her roses.
In 1956 Cissy married Bobby G. Reed and to this union was born two children, Rita (Garry) Warren of Elizabethtown, IL and Wesley (Sonya) Reed of Johnston City, IL. Other survivors include her grandchildren, Shannon (Brian) Palmer, Brock (Jennifer) Warren, Curtis Reed and Jesse Reed; and great-grandchildren, Cori (Bryce) Flatt, Cameron Jackson, Finn Palmer, Jett Palmer, Caleb Warren, Logan Warren, Logan Reed and Christopher Reed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Hazel Boyd; great-grandson, Wyatt Dalton Reed; brother, Robert Boyd; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Sunday May 25, 2025 at Hardin County Funeral Service in Rosiclare, IL with interment in Peters Creek Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from noon Sunday until service time at the funeral home.
