Obituary of Orval Wayne Shetler

 

Orval Wayne Shetler, 85, of Bloomfield, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024 in The Villages, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Myra and Wayne Shetler; and his wife, Ann Henry Shetler.
He is survived by his two children, Steven Wayne Shetler and Christa Shetler Gambert (Paul); two grandchildren, Erin Elizabeth Gambert and Christopher Paul Gambert (Margaret); and his partner, Parks Pifer.
Orval dedicated his career to PNC Bank in Louisville, where he worked faithfully for many years. Beyond his professional life, he shared his musical talents as a pianist in various churches throughout the Louisville, Bardstown, and Bloomfield areas of Kentucky. His music brought joy and inspiration to countless congregations over the years.
In Hardin County, Orval was a lifelong member of the Rosiclare First Christian Church. He played the organ there until he enrolled at Murray State University.
A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
