Obituary of Jimmie Allen Lewis

Jimmie Allen Lewis, born February 14, 1938 in Rosiclare, Illinois to B.A. and Hester Lewis, went to be with our Lord on Monday, November 11, 2024 in a hospice center in Wisconsin.
Per his request, Jimmie was cremated and a memorial service was held on Sunday, December 8, 2024 in Wisconsin where burial will take place.
Jimmie is survived by his wife, Irene; three daughters; one son; one daughter-in-law; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Mary Fricker of Oak Trace Assisted Living in Downer’s Grove, Illinois, and Sue Vaughn of Rosiclare, Illinois; one aunt, Elva Lewis; and a large host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Ruby Cowsert and husband Harold; two brothers-in-law, Wiley Fricker and Wendell Buck Lampert; his grandfathers, Joe Sheldon and Charlie Lewis; grandmothers, Tiney Hardin and Lillie Lewis.
Jimmie retired from General Motors in Michigan. He loved writing poetry. We love you Jimmie.
