James Robert “Jim” Dorris

James Robert “Jim” Dorris, 75, of Elizabethtown, died, Sunday, September 4, 2022 at Hardin County General Hospital in Rosiclare.
James was born on May 26, 1947 in Harrisburg to Robert Louis and Rosa Lee (Smith) Dorris.
James is survived by his wife, Paula Dorris; seven sons, James Mings, Daniel Mings, Patrick Mings, Robert Dorris, Doug Dorris, Wesley Dorris, James P. Dorris; one daughter, Katherine Antunez; 23 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and brother, Ron (Tracy) Dorris.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 10, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Elizabethtown with Pastors Stan Pennell and Ed Lafferty officiating. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Elizabethtown or to the Susan G. Komen foundation.
