Jan Douglas, 75, of Newburgh, IN, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, August 1, 2021. She was born on December 25, 1945, in Eldorado, IL to the late Harry Brazier and Velma (Milligan) Brazier.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Terrell Douglas; son, Christopher Douglas; and brother, Ivan (Dale) Brazier.
She is survived by her daughters, Penny (Matthew) Kaluza of Newburgh, IN and Heather (Chris) Groves of Avon, IN; and five grandchildren, Aaron and Jordan Kaluza, and Shelby, Madison, and Emma Groves.
Jan graduated from Rosiclare High School in 1964. She retired after a long career from AT&T. In retirement, she and her husband enjoyed spending their winters at Okaloosa Island in Florida. She was married to the love of her life for 55 years. She loved to garden, scrapbook, attend every event of her grandkids, and watch the St. Louis Cardinals. Yadi was her guy! She was a Castle Band Mom from 1988-1992, and a Castle Band Grandma from 2011-2017. She also spent many years teaching preschoolers on Sunday mornings and at Noah’s Ark Preschool at First Christian Church of Newburgh.

Graveside services will be held at Empire Cemetery in Elizabethtown, IL with Nathan Logsdon officiating, on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. CST.
