Obituary of Phyllis Ann Mittendorf

Phyllis Ann Mittendorf, age 87, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Mercy Health Paducah.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Metropolis. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. with Rev. Mike Duncan officiating.
Mrs. Mittendorf was a proofreader at the Metropolis News, then continued to work at City National Bank as a teller until her retirement. She attended Pope County schools and SIU Carbondale. Phyllis was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Cindy Davis; stepchildren, Thomas Mittendorf (Darla) and Sarah Duley (Mark); grandchildren, Melissa McDearmon (Matt Flanagan), Eric McDearmon, Zachary McDearmon, Adam Duley (Salina); Isaac Mittendorf (Emma), and Kate Mittendorf (Natalie Paul); five great-grandchildren, Marcus, Nathan and Autumn Flanagan, Connor McDearmon, and Rosemary Mittendorf; one brother, Kenneth Eichorn; one niece; and two nephews.
S he was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph and Norma Eichorn; first husband, Randal Davis; and second husband, Lester Mittendorf.
