Obituary of Bradley Robert Schuitema

Bradley Robert Schuitema, 62, of Harrisburg, passed away at 1:45 p.m., Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Harrisburg Medical Center surrounded by his family. Bradley was born on August 11, 1957 in Flint, Michigan to Sharon (Swinford) Schuitema and the late Lou Schuitema. Brad was a United States Navy Veteran on the USS Constellation Kitty Hawk.

He loved to listen to rock-n-roll music and he enjoyed horse racing. Bradley loved his grandchildren.
Bradley is survived by eight children, daughters, Misty Beaumont of Salem, Illinois, Dortha (Daniel) Bells of Portland, OR, Lavender Rose of Louisville, KY, Rhianna Schuitema of Harrisburg, IL, and Debra Lane of Rosiclare, IL; sons, Robert Schuitema of Louisville, KY, Aaron Lane of Carbondale, IL, and Michael Lane of Harrisburg, IL; mother, Sharon Schuitema of Winter Garden, FL; 18 grandchildren; sisters, Kimberly (David) Bain Flint, MI and Lori Schuitema of Pittsburg, PA; nieces, Jessica Bain of Big Rapids, MI and Jennifer Renee of Rockford, MI; and great-nephews, Joshua and Matthew Bain of Rockford, Michigan.
Bradley was preceded in death by his father; grandson, Anthony Rodgers; and life partner, Joyce Ann Keller.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Rev. Stan Pennell will officiate. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Reed Funeral Chapel to offset funeral expenses.
