Art goes on; Skills improve through creativity

When the art program was cut from Hardin County School about eight years ago, due to financial hardships, Rosemary (Patton) Riley offered her time and money on a volunteer basis to continue the art program for the elementary students. Since the school couldn’t continue the program, she feared that the supplies and equipment would be forever gone over time. Rosemary was approved by the school district to volunteer for the art program. She continues to come in four days a week and three weeks a month to work mainly with grades 1-5 and sometimes kindergarten.
