Library Christmas Open House provides creative opportunity for local kids

The Rosiclare Memorial Public Library staff and board members held the annual Christmas Open House last Saturday. Children of ages were encouraged to attend to make a Christmas ornament or craft and receive a treat. The event is always held in coordination with Santa making a visit next door at the Rose Clare Craft Mall so kids can have two great opportunities in the same day. Not only do the children enjoy the experience, but those putting it on do too. “We enjoy doing this every year,” said Library Board President Darlene Hamilton. “It is a group effort of our library staff and board members and we all enjoy seeing the children’s smiles.”
