Ernesteen Hosick
Ernesteen Hosick, 95, died Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado. She was born to the late Golda and Clinton Joiner in Carrsville, KY on August 19, 1923. She was a resident of Rosiclare, IL where she and her late husband Joseph L. Hosick owned Hosick Funeral Home. She was also a resident of Brookstone Assisted Living in Harrisburg.
She is survived by two daughters, Janet (Scott) Mohler, Newburgh, IN; and Linda “Susie” (Mike) DeArmon of Palm Coast, FL. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Steve (Lori) Mohler, Evansville, IN; Joe (Marcy) Mohler of Newburgh, IN; Kate Hosick, Chicago, IL; Seth Hosick, Del Rio, TX; LeAnn (Everett) Davis; and Jason Cox both of Herod, IL; Leslie Cox, Evansville, IN; Emily (Joe) DePhilips; and Andrew Farmer both of Newburgh, IN; and Libby (Brendon) Papineau, St. Louis, MO; special nephew, Larry Joiner Sulpher, LA.; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; many nieces and nephews; and dear friends Jimmy and Theresa (Spees) Edwards of Paducah, KY.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Stephen (Bubby) Hosick; daughter, Cynthia Hosick Farmer; daughter-in-law, Carla Hosick; son-in-law, Randy Farmer; two sisters; and one brother.
Watson Funeral Home, Eldorado, IL was chosen for her service. Visitation was held from 11 a.m. with funeral to follow at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 9 at the funeral home. Burial followed at Fluorine Cemetery in Rosiclare, IL.
Memorials may be made in her memory to the church of the donar’s choice or St. Jude’s.
I was a classmate of your daughter Cindy. Also 2nd cousin to Randy Farmer. Many thanks to you and your husband for the many years of excellent service to our families and community. May God Bless and keep you.
