John Albert Smock

 John Albert Smock, 60, died Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at home. He was born June 28, 1965.

 He is survived by one daughter, Jessica (Tanner) Thomas of Paducah, Kentucky; sons, Justin (Kara) Shoulta of Ledbetter, Kentucky and Tyler (Samantha) Shoulta of Paducah, Kentucky; mother, Carol Smock of Rosiclare, Illinois; brothers, James Howard (Tina) Smock Jr. of Golconda, Illinois and David Smock of Paducah, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Cooper Shoulta, Alivia Shoulta, Chandler Shoulta, Ryker Shoulta and Ender Shoulta; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

 John was preceded in death by his father, James Howard Smock and his grandparents.

 Services will be held at Community Chapel Church, 534 IL 146-34, Golconda, IL 62938 at 4 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2026.
