Velma Rose Oxford

Velma Rose Oxford, 92, of Cave-In-Rock, IL passed away Monday, March 31, 2025 at Hardin County General Hospital.
Survivors include her children, Jerry (Winnie) Oxford and Kathy (John) Sheridan; grandchildren, Stephanie (Aaron) Meuser, Kim (Peter) Barna, Kari Oxford, Brad (Amanda) Sheridan, and Jason (Dana) Oxford; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Aiden and Lia Meuser, Ella Barna, and Thaniel and Ruthie Sheridan; brother, Galen “Chops” Lamb; nieces, Tammy Mason and Debbie Jo Riggs; and Johnny Johnson, whom Galen and Velma loved and raised as their own son.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Galen Oxford; son, Larry Oxford; parents, Rad and Ethel Lamb; great-grandchildren, Iris and Josephine Sheridan; and sister-in-law, Shelby Lamb.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday April 6, 2025 at Hardin County Funeral Service in Rosiclare, IL with interment in Cave Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 12 p.m., Sunday until service time.
