Obituary of Golden Irene Rogers

Golden Irene Rogers, 94 of Elizabethtown, IL passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Hardin County General Hospital. She was born in Karbers Ridge, Illinois on April 23, 1930.
She married Ben Rogers of Sparks Hill on December 27, 1947, to this union, five sons were born.
Golden is survived by her sons, Jim (Marlene) Rogers of Riverwoods, IL, John (Cheryl) Rogers of Paducah, KY, Gary Rogers of Baton Rouge, LA, Mike “Jolly” Rogers of Elizabethtown, IL, and Paul (Tammy) Rogers of Quincy, IL; grandchildren, Matthew Rogers, Samantha Hulse, Danielle Sailiban, and Andrew Rogers; 8 great-grandchildren, Adrian, Sophie, Emma, Drew, Paige, Benjamin, Nate, and Cameron.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Rogers; parents, Roy and Eva Pyles; sisters, Hildred Volkert and Helen Pyles; along with her brother, Weldon Pyles.
Later in her life, her son Jolly was helped greatly by the loving care provided to Golden by the late Kristina Marler, and Nancy Nelson, Kathy Beardsly, Amy Conkle, Diane Mitchell and Beverly Sandefer. Without the help of these caring women, Golden would have been unable to remain comfortably at home.
Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 28, 2025 at Hardin County Funeral Service in Rosiclare, IL with interment in Rogers Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, February 27, 2025 at the funeral home.

    So sorry for your loss. Golden was a beautiful lady. Sorry we could not make to the service Tom and I are both but under the weather.
