Obituary of Myrna Louise Kaegi
Myrna Louise Kaegi, 85, of Murray, KY formerly of Cave-In-Rock, IL died Sunday, November 12, 2023 in McKenzie, TN. She was a retired teacher from the Hardin County School System, member of the Hardin/Pope County Retired Teachers Association, Murray First United Methodist Church, Murray Lions Club and Order Of The Eastern Star.
Survivors include her daughter, Sarah Kaegi of Murray, KY; brother, Gerald Shoemate of Blandinsville, IL; lifelong friend, Maria Gobel; stepsister, Dorothy Wisslead of Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Taylor Kaegi; parents, Archie and Susan Shoemate; adoptive parents, Emory and Christine Shoemate; stepmother, Rose Shoemate; 4 brothers; and 3 sisters.
Graveside services are scheduled for 1 p.m., Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Cave Hill Cemetery in Cave-In-Rock, IL with interment to follow.
