Obituary of Jean Suits

Jean Suits, 81, of Newburgh, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. She was born January 17, 1942 in Braintree, Essex, England to the late George and Eileen (Porter) Teal.
She moved to the United States in 1960 and lived in Southern Indiana. She started her career in retail sales in Braintree England, and worked at JC Penney for 23 years. Jean enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family and her pets. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Jean was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Tammy Lynn Hazlerig.
She is survived by her husband, Randy Suits; daughters, Kristie Cooper (Brian) and Susan Meier; grandchildren, Sydney Cooper, Schuyler Cooper (Sara), Blake Meier, Nick Cooper and Sophia Meier; stepchildren, Jeffrey Dale Suits, Kimberly Renee Saks, and John Randall Suits; great-grandchildren, Ambree Jeffers, Sutton Cooper and Emmerson Cooper; and brother, Mike Teal (Myra).
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 20, 2023 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, officiated by Rev. Harold Hunter, with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery, Cave-in-Rock, IL. Family and friends may visit 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, November 19, 2023 and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
