Obituary of Ronald Edward Sartin Sr.

Ronald Edward Sartin Sr., age 66, of Rosiclare, IL passed away peacefully on Monday, October 16, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Ronnie was born on February 7, 1957 to Edward “Pete” Ira and Juanita Sue (Simms) Sartin.
Ron enjoyed playing tournament and league softball. He was the founder of the Arizona Merchant Softball Club in the early 1990’s. Ron worked for Hintze Companies in Phoenix, AZ as a construction superintendent for 27 years until his illness forced his retirement in 2018. He enjoyed his work there and made forever friends that felt like family.
Ron and Pat moved to Rosiclare, IL in August of 2022 from San Tan Valley, AZ. He loved and trusted the Lord and stayed strong in his faith until the very end. Ron and Pat are members of the Community Chapel Church in Golconda, IL.
Ron was and always will be our, “SUPERMAN.”
Ron is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia “Pat” Williams Sartin; son, Ron (Jami) Sartin, Jr.; daughters, Amy (Dean) London, Donni Jo “DJ” (Dakota) Phillips, Lacy (Chris) Mayes, all four children of AZ; father, Edward “Pete” Sartin of AZ; sisters, Brenda (Frank) Caddel of TX, Peggy Rodrigues of AZ, Patricia (Nick) Hardin of AZ; brothers, Mike Sartin of AZ, Paul (Sandy) Sartin of AZ; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 46 nieces and nephews; many great-great nieces and nephews; and multitude of friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita; and sister, Donna.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at the Community Chapel Church in Golconda, IL. Visitation will be from noon until the time of the service at the church. Pastor Robert Turner will conduct the service. Burial will follow at Stone Church Cemetery.
