Obituary for Delores B. “Sue” Hogue
Delores B. “Sue” Hogue was born in Rosiclare, Illinois, on November 05, 1936, and departed this life on Friday, October 06, 2023. Her parents were Reed Dalton and Irene Faye Amsden Dalton.
Sue was married on Christmas Day in 1951 to Robert G. Stone. Two sons Robert L. Stone and Richard P. Stone were born from this union. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Richard P. Stone.
Sue leaves to mourn her passing, her son Robert L. (Diane) Stone; granddaughter Dana C. (Charles) Lampert; grandson Patrick D. (Kimberly) Stone; two great-grandsons, Dalton and Ryan Lampert; two great-granddaughters, Savannah and Abigail Stone; a step-sister, Greta Joan Lister; and three nieces and two nephews, including a niece very close to her, Pat Walker.
Sue worked at a series of endeavors prior to securing her license as an LPN. She practiced her vocation at Hardin County General Hospital for several years before accepting the nurse’s role at Job Corps near Golconda. There, she transitioned to a position as drug and alcohol counselor. In 1979, Sue transferred to the Job Corps Center in Moses Lake, Washington, where she resided until June 2020 when failing health made her return necessary.
At her passing, she resided at Southgate Nursing and Rehab Center in Metropolis, Illinois. Sue was a member of the Ohio Valley Baptist Church in Ledbetter, Kentucky.
