Obituary of Charles Keith “Chuck” Lamar

Charles Keith “Chuck” Lamar, age 64, of Elizabethtown, Illinois, passed away at 8:02 a.m., Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Mercy Health – Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.
Charles Keith, better known as “Chuck,” was born on September 18, 1959, in Elgin, Illinois, the son of Charles Frederick “Fred” and Elizabeth (Kemper) Lamar. He graduated from Cave-in-Rock High School with the Class of 1977.
Chuck married Kimberly Davis on December 2, 1988, at Marion, Kentucky. He was a truck driver for over 40 years and started working with his dad when he was in high school.
Chuck enjoyed watching sports and was an avid fan of the San Francisco 49ers and the Chicago Cubs.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 34 years, Kimberly Davis Lamar of Elizabethtown, Illinois; son, Ethan Lamar of Elizabethtown, Illinois; sister, Kay (Gary) Wheeler of Herod, Illinois; father-in-law, Charles “Tom” Davis of Herod, Illinois; brothers-in-law, Dennis Davis of West Palm Beach, Florida; Kelly (Tammy) Davis of Herod, Illinois; Kevin Davis of Herod, Illinois; and Kurt (Amanda) Davis of Herod, Illinois; nephews and nieces, Gabe (Laurie) Wheeler, Nikki (Jamie) Sauers, William (Rosy) Finnerty, Justin (Maygan) Davis, Trevor (Jessie) Daivs, Danielle Davis, Iris Davis, CK Davis, and Adriana Davis; and great-nephews, Colten and Dalton Wheeler.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Zachary Wheeler; and mother-in-law, Loywonia Davis.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Church.
