Obituary of Brian K. Mitchell
Brian K. Mitchell, 50, went into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. He was born in Harrisburg, IL on September 14, 1972 to John and Cheryl Mitchell.
He is survived by his daughter, Allisha Nicole (Jason) Banks; son, Denver Ryan (Madison) Mitchell; sister, Ann Mitchell; brothers, Dale (Rhonda) Mitchell, Dennis (Kasi) Mitchell, and Johnny Mitchell; grandchildren, McKavin Banks, Legend Banks, Ridge Banks, Zaiden McClenahan, and Remington Mitchell. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and family members, as well as friends and coworkers who became more like family.
He is predeceased by his parents, John and Cheryl Mitchell; his maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents; and grand-daughter, Hallie Nicole Banks.
He graduated from high school at Hardin County K-12. After graduating, he went to work as a deck hand on the Ohio River for barge companies and elevating through the ranks to pilot and River Boat Captain. He worked for the companies for almost 28 years.
Brian enjoyed working and cruising the many rivers and spend his extra time in the great outdoors hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family, riding the trails on four-wheelers and SXS and enjoying the country side that God created. He loved his family and being a good neighbor and friend.
He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed.
