Obituary of Bonnie Sue (Cook) Malcom
Bonnie Sue (Cook) Malcom was born on February 2, 1951 to Henry and Nora (Phillips) Cook. Bonnie was the fifth out of seven children born to their union. Bonnie married the love of her life, Ronnie Malcom on July 26, 1969, and to their union three children were born: Penny (Billy) Gill, Nickie (Ryan) Dixon, and April (Derek) Hobbs.
Bonnie spent her life taking care of her family, baby sitting for generations of the Cook family and beyond, being a special friend to everyone she encountered, collecting angels, and worshiping the Lord.
Bonnie was infamous for her sweet tea, her smile, infectious laugh, her big hugs and her story telling abilities. She enjoyed spending time with people, whether going to church events, playing cards or just visiting. When she was in your presence, she made you feel special by calling you sweetheart or “her Angel”.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Nora Cook; a sister, Patty Jo Cook; and four brothers, Bill, Bud, Bennie and Barney Cook.
Bonnie is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ronnie; her children: Penny, Nickie and April; her grandchildren, Cody (Katrina) Gill, Austin and Chasidy Seavers, Braden Joiner and Britne and Allison Hobbs; great-grandchildren, Makalub, Nikkie, Trentn, Zoe, Lily, Lila, Harper and Bentleigh; two brothers, Bob (Ellen) and Bertis (Becky) Cook; two brothers-in-law, Darrell (Anna) and Jr. Malcom; a sister-in-law, Dottie Cook; and a sister by heart, Cindy Tegtmeier.
From all her angels to Bonnie, “Our angel up in Heaven, we wanted you to know, we feel you watching over us, everywhere we go. We wish you were with us but that can never be, memories of you in our heart remain, that only we can see. Our angel up in Heaven, we hope you understand, that we would give anything, if we could hold your hand. We’d hold you oh so tightly, and never let you go, and all the love inside of us, to you we would show. Our angel up in Heaven, for now we are apart, You’ll always live with each of us, deep within our hearts”.
