Obituary of Claude David Lanham

Claude David Lanham, 92, passed away Monday, August 2, 2021. He was born in Elizabethtown, Illinois on December 24, 1928, to William Henry Lanham and Daisy Chancey Lanham. Claude was a veteran serving with the U.S. Army from February 1951 to December 1952, and serving in Korea from June 1951 to April 1952.
He was a retired carpenter and loved playing softball and golf.
Mr. Lanham was a member of Englewood United Methodist Church, Englewood, Florida and former member of East Columbus United Methodist Church, Columbus, Indiana.
He married Mary Alice Zinn on May 30, 1951.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wilford, Robert, and Gordon Lanham; and his sisters, Martha Shockley and Dorothy Lanham.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Mary Alice Lanham; sons, David (Janean) Lanham, Daniel (Jennifer) Lanham, Donald (Melinda) Lanham; grandchildren, Jay (Marla) Lanham, Cory (Megan) Lanham, Barrett (Julie) Lanham, Mackenzie Lanham and Meghan Kohne; great-grandchildren, Maylee, Jayda, Ty, and Grace Lanham; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 20, 2021, at Cave Hill Cemetery, Cave In Rock, Illinois.
