Obituary of Roxie Jean Palmer

Roxie Jean Palmer (Wheeler) went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, July 3, 2021. Roxie was born February 26, 1947 in Doniphan MO to the late Melvin (Hope) And Lorene Wheeler. Roxie was the oldest of 4 children.
Roxie is survived by her husband of 44 years, Larry Ladue Palmer; her son, Lance Ladue Palmer; and her three brothers, Melvin (Darlene), Steve, and Gary (Babe) and her three grandchildren, Danielle (15), Abby (12), and Lucas (4).
Roxie called several places home including Carbondale, IL; Aniak, AK; Elko, NV; Hatfield, IN; and Pickneyville, IL. Her last few years of life were spent at home in Cave-In-Rock, IL.
Roxie will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. Her passion for serving others was evident in all that she did; including her 40+ years working as a high school guidance counselor. To know Roxie was to truly love her. She will be remembered as a selfless, loving, and beautiful soul.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 24 at the Morganfield Park, 201 Park St. Morganfield, KY 42437 from 12 – 5 p.m. The family says guests are welcome to bring a dessert and bring their own drinks.

    I am so sorry for your lose, I remember her when she was the guidance counselor at Cave. She was a sweet person.
