On Thursday, March 11, 2021, Frances Kelley, loving wife and mother of four children, of rural Golconda, passed away at Good Shepherd Hospice House, Lakeland, FL at the age of 86. She was surrounded by family and friends. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elizabethtown.
Frannie was born on August 31, 1935 in Herod, IL to William and Charlotte (Ledbetter) Stacey.
She received her nursing degree and worked as a nurse for over 40 years in Illinois.
Frannie raised three children: Kimberly, Cherri, and Billy. In 1983, Frannie married William “Bill” Kelley where they raised her three children and his two children, Kathy and Ricky.
Frannie had a passion for music, dance, gardening, and art. She loved her family and friends and delighted in celebrating gatherings. She enjoyed church and teaching Sunday School to children.
Frannie was preceded in death by William H. Kelley, husband; Ricky Kelley, son; and Joseph Stacey, brother.
Frannie is survived by her children, Kim Hoffman, Cherri Fiarito, William Fiarito; Kathy Davidson; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Wilma Highfill, Audrey Martin, and Shirley Gibula; and brother, William Stacey.
A funeral service was held Saturday, April 3, 2021 at her daughter Cherri’s church, Griffin Baptist Church, in Lakeland, FL where memorial donations were received in lieu of flowers. Pastor Randy Thomas officiated the service.
