Obituary of Judy Louise Dearden

Judy Louise Dearden of Glendale, Illinois left this life on Monday, May 10, 2021 from the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale with her loving family by her side.
Judy was born in Hazel Crest, Illinois on January 25, 1962 to Bobby Gene and Deloris (Ralph) Vinyard. When she was four years old the family moved back to southern Illinois settling in northern Pope County on a small farm. Judy entered Pope County school in 1968, graduating from Pope County High School in 1980. She attended Southern Illinois College and earned a degree as Medical Office Assistant.
On August 4, 1984 she married Terry Dearden Jr. of Metropolis, Illinois. To them were born four lovely daughters. They are, Hannah (Art) Kacgynski of Goreville, Illinois, Sarah (Terry) Gowin of Carterville, Illinois, Elizabeth Dearden of Golconda, Illinois, and Abby (Mike) Dotson of Carterville, Illinois.
Judy is also survived by her mother, Deloris Vinyard Canup of Delwood, Illinois. sisters, Sherry (Rick) Logsdon of Delwood, Illinois and Vivian (Dewayne) Schuchardt of Glendale, Illinois; grandchildren, Ethan Dearden, Eli and Zeke Gowin, Brileigh, Madison and Chase Lemon. She has four surviving uncles and aunts, many cousins, nieces and nephews, friends and church family who mourn her passing.
Judy’s father, Bobby G. Vinyard preceded her in death passing in 1991 and her mother-in-law, Norma Joyce Dearden, passing in 2005.
Judy was content, no, she was happy being a stay-at-home Mom caring for her home and family. She was a member of Glendale Apostolic Church. She loved Jesus and her church and was an active member until her health prevented it. She was a real seamstress and enjoyed quilting. She loved reading, working jig-saw puzzles, and playing games with her grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 14, 2021 at the Glendale Apostolic Church in Glendale, Illinois. Pastor Bobby Gentry and Pastor Harold Canup, Jr. will conduct the service. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at Central Cemetery in Hardin County, Illinois.
