Obituary of Hazel Tucker

Wednesday, the twenty-fifth of November 2020 the Lord came and gathered up one of his chosen ones, Hazel Tucker, and entered with her to her heavenly home.
Hazel was ninety-five years, six months, and ten days old. Hazel was born in Livingston County, KY to Clifton and Vennie Morris on May 16, 1925 and was raised in Carrsville, KY. She married John Harold Travis on December fifteen forty-five to which they had one daughter, Carole Hannan of Elizabethtown, IL.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Harold Travis; second husband, Franklin Tucker; and two brothers, Lewis and Delmar Morris.
Hazel is survived by her daughter, Carole (Roger) Hannan of Elizabethtown, IL; and sister, Jean Beecher of Peoria, AZ. Hazel retired from Hardin County General Hospital in Rosiclare, IL.
Hazel accepted the Lord at a young age and liked her faith and her relationship to her Lord. She is a member of First Baptist Church of Elizabethtown. She so enjoyed being in church and singing praises to God. Hazel started her day with reading her bible, daily devotions, and prayer.
Hazel loved her home and took great pride in it. Neighbors teased her about being there when a leaf fell so she could pick it up.
Hazel loved quilting, crocheting and embroidery work. When she could no longer use her fingers, she enjoyed crossword puzzles and loved to read.
Hazel touched a lot of lives and will be missed; but her life is not over – it has just begun! Her love for family and friends will continue on in our hearts until we meet again.
