H.C. parents have a 3 day window to switch students from remote learning to in person/blended learning
There have been so many new procedures and schedules to put into place for everyone involved during yet another unprecedented school year. Administrators’ top priority continues to be the safety and well-being of students and staff and they understand the difficulties for students and parents/guardians dealing with remote learning.
There is no replacement for that essential face to face time with classroom teachers and aides. With that in mind, administrators are announcing a window of opportunity for parents/guardians to change their student(s) from remote learning to in-person, blended learning. This window will coincide with the beginning of the 2nd quarter grading period.
Parents/guardians will be able to fill out a form on the school’s website (www.hardink12.net) that states they intend to send their student(s) back to school as in-person students starting October 5th. The form will only be available online for 3 days: September 28-30, 2020. Parents may come to the front office during those three days only to fill out the form if they don’t have internet access. Parents/guardians must state their intent to change students to in-person learners during that 3 day window of September 28-30, no exceptions.
The next opportunity to change a student to in-person, blended learning will be in January at the beginning of the 3rd quarter grading period.
Students who have a school issued device must bring the device to school every day. The device must be fully charged and ready to use at school too.
