Obituary of Diana Lynn Kumorek
Diana Lynn Kumorek returned to heaven to be with her parents on Sunday morning, March 29, 2020 at the early age of 62. Our sweet, but very hardheaded mother and nanny, but most importantly, wife, was born September 24, 1956 to Herb and Jean Price in Vandalia, IL.
Diana moved during her junior high years to Hardin County, where she met her sweetheart, Mike Kumorek. After only a month of dating, they got married. Things weren’t always roses and rainbows, but they would have been married almost 45 years on April 12, 2020.
Together, they had a beautiful family which Diane was most proud of: Tiffany (Brad Beasley) of Cave In Rock, IL, Courtney (Trevor) Stephenson of Holden, UT, Erica (stillborn), and the baby of the family, Jarrett (Emily) Kumorek of Elizabethtown, IL; 12 grandchildren, Breauna Kumorek, Michelle (Corey) Williax, Chanclee Byrd, Kendra and Michanda Kumorek, Alethea Stephenson, Jasper Stephenson, Jaycee, RJ Stephenson (stillborn), Becca, Lilli, and Avery Kumorek; and two great-grandsons, Kayson and Kadyn Kumorek.
She lived an amazing life and loved serving as a Red Cross volunteer, as well as serving on the Cave In Rock Fire Department and helping others.
She is survived not only by her loving family, but a sister, LuAnn (Shane) Little of Raleigh, IL; two brothers, Dale (Rita) Price of Grain Valley, MO and Dean Price of Rosiclare, IL; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Anderson of Karbers Ridge, IL and Kim Dowdy of Harrisburg, IL; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter; a grandson; a sister; two brothers; in-laws; two brothers-in-law; a nephew; and a great-niece.
A private visitation will be held for immediate family members at Hardin County Funeral Service, Cox Funeral Home on Thursday, April 2, 11:00 a.m. After the private service, all family and friends are invited to gather at Mike and Diane’s home for lunch and to share their wonderful memories of Diane.
Memorials may be made to the Elizabethtown Fire Department.
