Obituary of Terry Leon Banks

Terry Leon Banks, 66, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. He was born April 28, 1953 to Ralph and Pauline Banks of Harrisburg, Illinois.
Survivors include his wife, Tamantha (TJ) Banks; his daughter, Crystal Malcom; mother, Pauline Banks; two brothers, David (Linda) Banks; and Richard Banks; nephew, Bradley (Loni) Banks; nephew, Brian (Shelly) Banks; nieces, Kristin (Blake) Wilson and Lori (Matt) Bradley; great-nephews and great-nieces; and other family members.
On September 25, 1992 Terry married his wife TJ Banks of 27 years and they raised two sons and a daughter in Herod, Illinois. He will also be missed by his favorite companion, his dog Miss Lily.
Terry was best known for his passion for the outdoors. He loved deer hunting, turkey hunting, and fishing. His favorite place to be was in the woods listening to the wildlife or on the lake fishing with friends. Terry was a man of many talents. He was in construction for many years building houses. He also enjoyed taxidermy work. He had a special talent as an artist and outdoorsman. Terry will be remembered for many things, but most of all for his loving smile and witty character.
He is preceded in death by his sons: Kevin Banks and Jeffery Banks; father, Ralph Banks; and brother, Leland Banks.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Hardin County Funeral Service located on Stone Church Road in Rosiclare, Illinois. Service will be at 1:00 p.m. with Wade Finnie officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service.
