James E. Banks

James E. Banks, 93, of Harrisburg, IL died on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Marion, IL. He was born June 15, 1926 in Rosiclare, IL to the late Ezra and Mary (Clanton) Banks. James was a WWII veteran serving in Asiatic-Pacific Theater in the U.S. ARMY. He retired from General Motors. He was a member of Honey Comb Church of God.
James married Imogene Foreman and she preceded him in death. He later married Kathleen DeNeal, she survives.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen Banks; three sons, James Banks, Donald Lee Banks, Hillis Banks; two daughters, Donna Loveland and Patricia Ann Kennedy; step-son, Tom and wife Leanne DeNeal; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville, IL. Interment and military honors will follow at IOOF Cemetery in Golconda, Illinois. Visitation will be from noon until time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
