Kathy Lynn Austin passed away at the Dayton Hospice on Sunday, June 16, 2019.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Ronald Austin; a son, Jeremy Austin of Ohio; a grandson, Jacob Austin, also of Dayton. She also leaves a specially loved aunt, Marge Reed, of Bourbonnais, IL. Kathy leaves sisters, Margie Beth Hamilton of Marion, KY and Sheila Barnes of Lola, KY.
Kathy graduated from Cave High School and received her Bachelor Degree in Paralegal from Southern Illinois University (SIU) at Carbondale. She finished an MBA at Antioch University in Yellow Springs, Ohio.
She always worked to help others from dealing with abused or neglected children in Illinois to being a Hospice Director in Gillette, WY. After moving to Ohio, she dealt with deadbeat dads to get financial help for children. She finished her work history as the Director of a foster grandparents program at the Eden Moses location of Dayton, Ohio, where almost 100 people were under her, and sent to help children and other needy organizations. She is a recent convert to Islam and is now with Merciful Allah for eternity. Peace be upon Him!
