On Saturday, March 10, 2019 the Hardin County Archery Cougars competed at the S3DA Indoor
State Championship. The state’s best archers traveled to Albion, Illinois for a chance to be State champion. This was the second year for tournament and numbers show how much this sport is growing with attendance increasing from around 100 contestants (2018) to 141 (2019). Fifteen different clubs and teams were there for the event, including a club from the Chicago area.
Adriana Armstrong lead the Cougars by winning the Silver medal in the High School Female Advanced Pins Class.
Kylie Mosby finished fourth overall in the High School Female Pins Class. This was Kylie’s personal best and she actually tied for third place but her X count (tie breaker) wasn’t as high as Sydney Weber (Edwards county).
Wyatt Dutton had another good day, finishing fifth overall in High School Male Pins Class.
Adriana and Wyatt will be representing Hardin County in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 14, 2019 at the S3DA Indoor National Championship.
