Hardin County Main Street Organization held its 7th annual “Christmas in Hardin County” last Saturday evening with a Holiday Lights Parade and Christmas caroling in Rosiclare. This event is adored by all ages and puts most in the Christmas spirit.
Winners of the 2018 Holiday Lights Parade are as follows:
• Business Float – Hilltop Hideaway
• Church Float – Bethany General Baptist
• Golf Cart Float – Mayor Roy and wife Kay Tolbert
• People’s Choice Float – Grandchildren of James and Brenda Spivey – Luke Seiner, Lydia Seiner, and Jake Seiner – representing Rosiclare General Baptist Church.
All float winners donated their monetary prizes to the local 4-H Club. The volunteer 4-H group members Alivia Bishop, Abigail Austin, and Riley Patton served hot chocolate and cookies after the parade at the Rose Clare Craft Mall where several gathered to enjoy the refreshments and sing Christmas carols.
Earlier that day 4-H club members Ava Bishop, Riley Patton, Roman Rutherford, and Micah Burton served lunch at the Annual Golden Circle Christmas Dinner.
